August is almost over and only a Bank Holiday Monday is left... And it is still in the #EatOutToHelpOut Government 💰🎁 "50% help out the hospitality sector after covid19 pandemic scheme".
Did it work? Yes, it did. The Horse & Cart Inn was packed from Monday to Wednesday with families, friends, acquaintances and more👨👩👧👦...
And yes, of course, #socialdistancing and COVID rules were still upheld.
And after those first three days of every week, it still continued to be very busy with people who tried to avoid the madness of "The Scheme" ......
But let me tell you this📣:
#thehorseandcart is well-known for its......
warm and welcoming hospitality, serving exceptional food, offering exquisite wines and locally brewed ales/beers
Talking to staff and other colleagues in the biz, it has been crazy going from the start. We all had to get used to the masses coming through the doors. Some moments were better than other moments. That also applies to our guests...most of y'all were very friendly and oh so patient, thank you so much for that 🙏
So, let's have a little chat about the menu..... WOW! It has been crazy with getting all the ingredients for the wonderful dishes our chefs created. Our chips are cut 🥔 in house, the fish🐟 is really from #Rye and our meat🍖 is from our local butcher. Oh yes, right, the veggies🥕🍅 are really from our local supplier!
And to make sure that there is no mistake, everything is made #fresh in our kitchen.
Just enjoy what we have now on our menu. Enjoy the food that is offered today, this week. Next week it might be different. As it says on our menu page:
"Our menu is regularly changing to reflect the seasons.
Sundays we serve next to this menu a Roast Menu."
Even with the scheme now almost over and the menu still limited, The Horse & Cart Inn will still welcome you to have a drink, a meal and a stay. Don't be a stranger and let us meet again.
